What is the battery power saving function?

It is the function that allows for efficient power consumption that saves energy. When the walkie is not transmitting, it goes into a standby state so that it is not draining the battery during those times. This will not affect the radio’s ability to receive incoming transmissions.

What is a CTCSS tone?

The Midland BRO2 Pro Z has 50 CTCSS tones which stands for Controlled Continuous Tone Squelch System. It is a sound code that is sent when transmitting. This sound code is not audible. Only if the tone code of the radio transmission matches the tone code of the receiver’s radio will the receiver hear the signal
