The Mitex PMR446 is a good quality alternative radio for businesses and individuals who need a free and convenient means of communication, or who need to add to an increasing fleet of PMR446 radios.

The Mitex 446 is pre-programmed radio and is compatible with Motorola, Kenwood, and Icom 446 channels. A programming kit is available to allow custom programming to suit your needs. (See ref. MIT446PK)

Ability to communicate with large groups

These radios have the added benefit of being upgradeable to 5 watts, which is extremely useful if you have a large fleet of radios and you would like to eventually go on to full-powered licensed radios, as there is no need to replace existing radios.

Solid and easy to use with the VOX function

The range of a PMR446 radio varies a lot depending on where you use it. The maximum range given by manufacturers is based on ideal conditions, such as from hilltop to hilltop, but the range you actually get will be much less if you are in a built-up area. Trees, walls, hills, and even the weather can affect the range of your radio.
